Our stay at Monument Valley was too short but we could nevertheless set eyes upon those famous mountains which were as first featured in the western film "Stage Coach" .This film starring John Wayne made the actor worldly known to the public in 1938. Yes indeed it is way back in the 20 Th century.
But Monument Valley known als Navajo country is most of all a tribute to this Indian tribe who appeared to have migrated from Canada and other northern countries many centuries ago.
The descendants still struggle to keep their own culture, tradition and language going. Many have kept their own way of living and others form part of modern America.
Finally for those among you who are interested, from left to right those 3 mountains are called West Mitten, Merrick Butte & East Mitten. The whole region is made up of dark red earth and it' s hot,hot hot.

We stayed overnight and off we made our way to Moab up North. This road drives us through stunning colourful landscapes.Today we visited the Arches National Park.
We hiked 2 hours long with a flock of tourists to the most exquisite arch called Delicate Arch.By the look of it it seemed strong enough to let us all take a pause for a picture.
